Buy Graphite, Guar Gum, Grog, Gum Arabic, Gilsonite
Unless otherwise noted, all chemicals come packed in a twist-tied plastic bag in a sealed, reusable plastic tub. Some, very light-weight, high-volume chemicals (like air float charcoal, lampblack, and Cab-O-Sil) are packed in boxes instead of tubs. Each container is labeled and contains a material safety data sheet (MSDS) for that chemical. The chemicals we supply are generally technical grade, sometimes better. Technical grade is generally defined as "chemicals of reasonable purity".

(asphaltum) Dark brown powder
Used to produce high-octane automotive gasoline, diesel fuels, LPG, raw naphtha, lubricating oils, road oils, and asphalt paving products. Used as a base for paints, varnishes, anticorrosive coatings. Used in Japan Black in furniture refinishing. It’s a component of battery boxes. It’s also used to insulate and waterproof jackets for underground pipes; It’s a stabilizer in non-smearing inks, an additive for oil-well slurries and a binder for wood fibers. It’s also used in dark-colored printing inks, paints and varnishes.

Guar Gum powder is a very versatile product and finds is used in a score of industrial applications, as thickening, sizing agent, wet-end strength additive, gelling agent and water barrier, flocculation aid, for waste water treatment, as emulsifier, binder. Also used for mud formulations, enhanced oil recovery, polymer flooding, well treatment, lost circulation plugging etc.

(acacia gum) tan colored powder
For artists it is the traditional binder used in watercolor paint, and was used in photography for gum printing. It’s also used as a stabilizer in lotions, protective creams, and emulsions. Powdered gum arabic is a simple adhesive for paper products.
